Google: Android 13 Beta 2.1 Update Is Available Now with bug fixes

Google has released a brand new Android 13 beta update.

The update comes less than a month since the release of Android 13.

The new Android 13 Beta 2.1 patch fixes a variety of issues and brings a couple of bug fixes and some stability improvements.

Google’s release notes include the subsequent fixes:

  • Google Fixed a problem where typing within the search bar resulted in a blank list of suggestions.
  • Google Fixed a problem where devices would crash and restart when turning on the hotspot.
  • Google Fixed a problem where an endless call dialing sound may be heard within the background during a telephone call.
  • Google Fixed a problem where devices would crash and restart after disconnecting from Android Auto.

The update is on the market for Pixel phones back to the Pixel 4.

This mid-cycle update still includes the identical list of known issues as Beta 2 released on May 11, aside from those mentioned above. in line with 9to5 Google, the search bar issue remains despite the mid-cycle update.

If you’re already on the Android 13 Beta, the replacement will routinely notify you thru OTA notification. If you’re at the Android 12 QPR (Quarterly Platform Release) Beta program, one would want to opt-out and re-sign up for the Android 13 Beta, keeping in mind that the Android 13 Beta remains in early Beta and there may be a lot of issues.
